Payment
Private-pay
For several reasons, I do not bill commercial insurance plans but I’ll provide a monthly invoice if you have out-of-network coverage. Many clients choose to pay for therapy from “out-of-pocket” rather than using an insurer for several reasons.
“Private-pay” provides privacy for you and prevents a diagnosis label permanently attached to your health record.
You don’t need to reveal or justify your reason for seeking therapy.
Your care, goals, and treatment plan and tenure aren’t decided by a regimented insurance plan but collaboratively negotiated between you and me.
You are able to select the therapist of your choice, rather than choosing from a limited provider list.
Out-of-Network
If you have an insurance plan that includes coverage for out-of-network providers, I’m glad to supply you with a monthly invoice that you may submit for reimbursement.
Connect with your plan directly to verify your coverage. Please check carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have an out-of-network mental health benefit?
Will my coverage help pay for a licensed marriage & family therapist?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions per plan year?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session? Be sure to verify if there is a co-pay and/or co-insurance component(s).
Payment Options
Payment is due at time of service. I accept check or cash. I offer a limited number of reduced rate appointments and will happily share availability.
